{"id":604,"date":"2011-01-19T23:01:12","date_gmt":"2011-01-19T23:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dkdkgoose.com\/knoxville\/"},"modified":"2013-03-22T02:15:13","modified_gmt":"2013-03-22T02:15:13","slug":"ready-set-tag-teen-edition","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dkdkgoose.com\/memphis\/dk-teens\/ready-set-tag-teen-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"Ready&#8230; Set&#8230; Tag &#8211; teen edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"..\/whats-new\/\">what&#8217;s new<\/a> | <a href=\"..\/becoming-a-consignor\/drop-off-pick-up\/\">drop-off<\/a> | <a href=\"..\/..\/calendar\/2011-10\/\">event schedule<\/a> | <a href=\"..\/becoming-a-consignor\/consignor-incentives\/\">consignor incentives<\/a> | <a href=\"..\/becoming-a-consignor\/consignor-registration\/\">register now<\/a> | <a href=\"..\/..\/becoming-a-consignor\/printing-tags\/\">printing tags<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Go get your Stuff:<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Stuff <\/strong>(stuf) n. &#8211; clothes, shoes, purses\/bags, books, videos, CD&#8217;s, DVD&#8217;s, PS or Nintendo games &amp; anything else teens might want.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Stuff accepted:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Clothing that is in current style and season.<\/li>\n<li>In season shoes<\/li>\n<li>Prom dresses &amp; Formal wear<\/li>\n<li>Sports equipment (in season and good condition)<\/li>\n<li>Electronics (in working condition)<\/li>\n<li>Books, Games, Videos, CD\u2019s and DVD&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li>Anything for teens that is in GREAT condition!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Stuff NOT accepted:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Clothing with stains, rips, missing buttons or broken zippers.<\/li>\n<li>No out of style or out of season clothing.<\/li>\n<li>Toys, equipment or furniture with missing\/non-functioning parts.<\/li>\n<li>Items that require batteries, MUST have batteries included.<\/li>\n<li>VHS tapes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Materials Needed For Tagging<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Wire hangers<\/li>\n<li>White cardstock (8\u00a0\u00bd x\u00a011)<\/li>\n<li>Safety Pins (large)<\/li>\n<li>Zip-loc-type storage bags<\/li>\n<li>Clear packing tape<\/li>\n<li>Access to a computer and printer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Get your Friends and have a Tagging Slumber Party!!!\u00a0<strong> <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Hanging Items<\/h2>\n<p>We want your items to sell!\u00a0 Clean and press if needed.\u00a0 Hang neatly.\u00a0 Pin items well so they do not fall of the hanger.\u00a0 Pin securely to prevent damage to your item or an adjacent item on the rack.\u00a0 The better your items are presented, the more likely they will sell \u2013 and sell for top dollar!<\/p>\n<p>Follow these easy steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place clothing on hangers with the hook turned left, like a question mark\u00a0(see diagram 1.a below).<\/li>\n<li>Pants, shorts &amp; skirts should be secured on the top (angled) part of the\u00a0hangers using medium to large\u00a0safety pins.\u00a0 NO STRAIGHT PINS OR TINY GOLD SAFETY PINS ALLOWED.<\/li>\n<li>Please give every item the <strong>TUGG<\/strong> test.\u00a0 [<strong>T<\/strong>ested and (<strong>U<\/strong> won&#8217;t fall to the <strong>G<\/strong>round) <strong>G<\/strong>arment].\u00a0 If it comes off the hanger, add more safety pins!\u00a0 Items do not sell if they have fallen under the racks or if they lose their tag. When in doubt use more PINS.<\/li>\n<li>2 piece outfits:\u00a0 It is best to safety pin the pants over the back of the shirt, and onto the hanger \u2013 please do not hang the pants inside the shirt. Pinning to the back allows shoppers to see your outfit more thoroughly. METAL HANGERS ONLY PLEASE- NO plastic or plastic coated! A good resource for metal hangers is your local dry cleaners. Print the tags on white cardstock. \u00a0The cardstock will help keep tags from ripping off during the sale. Place the barcode tag on the upper right side of the garment using a safety pin.\u00a0 Please position the pin horizontally at the top of the tag \u2013 making sure the pin goes in and back out through the tag.\u00a0 Again, this helps secure the tag to prevent tags from easily being torn from your item. \u00a0The on-line tagging system ensures that your tags have ALL the information needed, including your consignor #, size, price, description, unique barcode, if your item can be discounted during the \u00bd price sale, and whether you would like to donate your item at the end of the sale.
